A History Of The Superbowl
The Super Bowl has been the championship game of the National Football League (NFL), the premier association of professional American football, since 1967. In most years, the Super Bowl is the most-watched American television broadcast. Many popular singers and musicians have performed during the event's pre-game and halftime ceremonies. The day on which the Super Bowl is played is now considered a de facto American national holiday,http://www.boston.com/news/local/articles/2004/01/29/super_bowl_underscores_cultural_divide/http://www.nfl.com/news/story?id=09000d5d810f2987&template=without-video-with-comments&confirm=truehttp://nbcsports.msnbc.com/id/16865062 called Super Bowl Sunday. Superbowl party Appetizer: Pizza Pinwheels
Pizza pinwheels are easy to make, and fun to eat. This recipe can be easily doubled, or quadrupled to feed a group of hungry Superbowl fans.Ingredients:
one tube of crescent rolls
3 Tablespoons of pizza sauce
12 pepperoni
1 1/2 cups mozzarella cheese
Preparation and baking:
Flatten out the crescent rolls on a lightly oiled flat surface. Seal all the seams to make one large piece, and press out with fingers. Spread the pizza sauce thinly on top. Chop the pepperoni, and spread them on the sauce. Top with one cup of the mozzarella cheese. Roll the crescent roll up (like you would a cinnamon roll). Slice the roll into 1" thick slices. Each roll should make about 8 slices. Lay the cut side down on a greased baking sheet. Sprinkle the remaining cheese on top of the slices, and bake at 375` for 12-15 minutes, or until the cheese begins to brown. Remove from the oven and serve warm.
